I believe that the best results come from true partnership. I am fully capable of delivering results independently; however, I find that the most impactful work emerges when we combine our perspectives. When we collaborate, we combine my expertise with your unique vision to create something far more impactful than either of us could build solo.
My commitment to our partnership rests on five core pillars:
- Trust: For a project to succeed, you need to know I am as invested in your outcome as you are. To me, trust is built on accountability: if I say I will do it, it gets done.
- Mutual Respect: Regardless of titles, tenure, or background, we are partners. I value your perspective and bring that respect to every conversation.
- Active Listening: My job is to guide, not to dictate. I listen to understand your goals, constraints, and vision before I propose solutions. If I don’t fully grasp your “why,” any suggestion I make is just a shot in the dark.
- Consistent Communication: You should never have to wonder where a project stands. I prioritize setting a communication cadence that works for you, ensuring you are looped in, informed, and confident in our progress.
- Collaborative Problem Solving: Learning Experience Design is rarely black and white. I view feedback as a design tool. If I disagree with a suggestion, I will share the “why” behind my perspective and offer an evidence-based alternative. I value flexibility, but I prioritize the effectiveness of the final product.
